New Tankomizer for electronic cigarettes also known as Tank system

As you have probably heard in recent weeks, a new atomizer has come into the market called tankomizer. A tankomizer system is a new type atomizer with a tank attached to it that fits in the cartridge. So no more fluval, blue foam, e-liquid in the mouth and all these problems that we used to get when using electronic cigarettes.

Due to the 4 holes on the edge of the battery where it meets the atomizer / Tankomizer, and a further 4 holes on the tankomizer itself, there is too much air coming through which makes it difficult to fire the tankomizer properly, so the airflow has to be restricted somehow. Usually as you draw on the e-cig, you can restrict the flow by blocking a couple of the holes with the fingers. Now. Because i love the way this e-cigarette is, i thought, well, i'll put a tiny piece of cellophane around the holes to restrict the flow as the photo shows.

First attempt to try to restrict the airflow i used cellotape.
Second attempt is to plug the holes on the tankomizer with blu tack.

The second attempt (blu-tack) seems to work much better as it is not visible at all and no hassle of having to find cellotape each time i detach the tankomizer to charge the battery.
The draw is a lot better, be it slightly heavier. It reminds me very much of the draw of the Boge Leo from vapourettes.com

The tank that holds the e-liquid. It takes about 11 drops of e-liquid from empty.

Since then the e-cig has been working absolutely fine and i certainly enjoy it so much better than any e-cigarette of that size i have ever had.
I was disappointed initially as i love the way the tank system works with no leaks, no liquid in the mouth, etc... The trade-off is having to restrict the airflow so you can have a perfect balance.

If you think of the hassle that is involved with refilling a cartridge of that size such as putting the right amount of liquid, because if you do not do that, you will end up with excess liquid that will come in the mouth. Add to that having to cut a piece of fluval or blue foam to fit just right and eventually putting the right amount of drops in the cartridge and even after all that the thing doesn't work properly or is not consistent. Others have opted for dripping which is putting a couple of drops of e-liquids direct on the atomizer. It is ok to do that but not practical when you are out and about fruity vape juice.

To me, the inconvenience of having to put a little piece of cellophane or blu tack to get a properly functional decent size electronic cigarette is miles better than having to deal with all the quirks of the standard electronic cigarette (cartridge / atomizer) system.

We know that this type of e-cigarettes doesn't usually work properly at all due to its size be it lack of power in the battery, weakness of atomizer, small cartridges to name but a few.
The bigger electronic cigarettes work far better than the standard e-cigs that look like an analogue cigarette. The likes of Ego, Leo, 510, 901 which have been going on for some time. But i was looking for a small e-cig that will perform like the bigger ones and frankly i have found it in this one. Sadly with that little quirk. But i am willing to persevere with that little quirk so i can have a small enough cigarette that performs just as good as the bigger ones.

The battery life on that e-cig is about an hour and a half of fairly heavy vaping. You can get around 3 hrs of standard vaping. The power of the battery is 140mAh which is good for its size. The tank that stores the liquid can take up to 11 drops of e-liquid which is a decent amount. Come to think of it. A standard 510 or 901 e-cigarette cartridge takes the same amount of e-liquid.
The tank is reusable over and over again and remember you do not need to freshen up the filling such as fluval or blue foam as there is none in the tankomizer system.

Tankomizer 2 is here

A couple of weeks ago i received an email from the manufacturers that they have rectified the atomizer and reduced the number of holes down to 1 hole. I ordered a few trial packs to see how they perform. They arrived a few days ago. I was very pleased to find out that the electronic cigarette works very well straight out of the box now without any modifications at all.
There is a couple of videos that i made for you to see the functionality of the new Tankomizer 2 and i also made another video regarding a longer vaping session such as chain vaping so to speak to show the performance of the e-cig and the consumption of e-liquid best menthol e liquid. It is very interesting to see the functionality of the e-cig under pressure to an extent and how long a tank of e-liquid is likely to last. The chain vaping video is here

Have a look at the video and feel free to email me for any further questions you may have.
